CL Yachts says its first Sea Activity Vessel is en route to Florida now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CL Yachts\u00a0says the CLX96\u2014the brand\u2019s first Sea Activity Vessel, or SAV\u2014is en route across the Pacific Ocean, bound for the Panama Canal and then Fort Lauderdale, Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Plans are for a group of potential owners to do sea trials in Florida this summer before the CLX96 makes its official debut at the\u00a0Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show\u00a0in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lines on the CLX96 are by Italy-based designer Jozeph Forakis, with some design cues taken from workboats. There\u2019s a two-level deckhouse and an inverted windshield. The latter has two functions: to clear rough water faster than traditionally raked windshield and to help keep the yacht\u2019s interior cool by reducing any greenhouse effect from overhanging glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to CL Yachts, the new model can achieve 24 to 25 knots of speed at full load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
