CL Yachts\u00a0has announced their new flagship of the CLX range, the 30.5-metre CLX99 superyacht concept. Building upon the design of her sistership, the 29.5-metre\u00a0Forakis<\/a>-designed\u00a0CLX96<\/a>\u00a0yacht, the CLX99 yacht, which also employs the craftsmanship of\u00a0Jozeph Forakis<\/a>\u00a0for her design, has more interior volume, additional exterior spaces and upgraded features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As CL Yachts<\/a> Director Martin Lo explains, \u201cThe hull is the same great hull as CLX96<\/a>, with its excellent design ensuring performance, stability, handling, and sea-worthiness, but the beach area has been extended and the new yacht reaches an overall length of 30.5-metres.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to the flagship vessel, the main deck has undergone a two-metre long extension, causing the interior layout to be redesigned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCLX99 features a generous dining room forward with the galley adjacent and with portside access for the crew,\u201d interior and exterior designer Forakis<\/a>, \u201cas well as featuring a relaxation area with an enlarged sofa \u2013 from sanctuary to dining to observation lounge, multifunctional space highlights the diverse operational roles the yacht as a whole is capable of taking on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

On the reimagined lower deck for the standard version of the CLX99 model, five opulent staterooms, including a full-beam master suite, two VIP doubles forward, and two twin\/double staterooms can comfortably accommodate guests. Moreover, each stateroom is complete with an ensuite bathroom for optimal privacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternatively, the clients can also choose to place a main deck master suite where the forward dining and observation lounge is located, and reserve five staterooms on the lower deck in order to accommodate up to 12 guests total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the crew living quarters, which are situated between the engine room and aft bulkhead, has been expanded so that it can host up to five crew members onboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving outdoors to the sundeck, the skylounge and flybridge helm are slightly altered to maximise space, with a seating arrangement and sunbathing area forward of the bridge serving as a secondary, elevated bow terrace, which draws from the signature \u201cTerrazza Portoghese\u201d found on CLX96<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe skylounge has been extended by over three metres, with the helm \u2013 which is on the same level as the skylounge \u2013 separated from the guest saloon allowing the captain to work freely without interfering with the guests,\u201d Forakis<\/a> adds. \u201cHowever, the skylounge forward bulkhead is essentially largely glass, which not only means CLX99 retains the 360-degree panoramic views, but also means guests can still observe the operation of the yacht. A sliding door connects the two spaces.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the aft sundeck has a dedicated lounge settee for relaxation, while the overall width of the aft deck is increased thanks to the integration of an arch in the bulwark. The aft end of the yacht exhibits an aft water-level beach and swim platform equipped with drop down bulwarks that can form sea terraces on either side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the interior decor, Forakis<\/a> aims to capture the essence of \u201cnature and coastlines\u201d through the presence of sinuous curves in combination with elementary shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe leitmotif of CLX99\u2019s interiors is the rounded and smooth lines that characterise all the furnishings,\u201d Forakis<\/a> says, \u201cevoking pebble beaches with their smooth stones, both in shape and in the choice of materials.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
