Hong Kong-based shipyard\u00a0CL Yachts\u00a0has announced a new 30.5-metre flagship model, the CLX99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The model\u2019s unconventional, workboat exterior and functional ethos draws heavily on CL Yachts\u2019 previous flagship, the CLX96 \u2013 though the shipyard promises greater interior volume and external space, alongside features refined for the European, Asian and secondary charter markets. As with the earlier iteration, the model\u2019s design is owed to Milan-based Jozeph Forakis<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation is across five cabins, including a full-beam master suite, two VIP doubles forward and two twin cabins. Clients can opt for a main deck master suite in place of the forward dining and observation lounge while still retaining five cabins on the lower deck. Meanwhile, the crew area has been extended to accommodate five members \u2013 one more than its predecessor \u2013 for an even more charter-friendly model.<\/p>\n\n\n

A two-metre extension to the main deck has resulted in a reorganised interior complete with a dining room, a galley, a multifunctional lounge space and portside access for the crew. In terms of interior design, Forakis has opted for a sinuous, organic aesthetic inspired by \u201cthe smooth stones [of] pebble beaches\u201d. This has influenced the interior lines as well as the choice of materials, though full details are undisclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other alterations include the beach club, now fitted with drop-down bulwarks and the sky lounge, which has been extended by three metres. There is now also the option for a spa pool on the foredeck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe sky lounge forward bulkhead is essentially largely glass, which not only means the CLX99 retains 360-degree panoramic views, but also means guests can still observe the operation of the yacht,\u201d added Forakis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the model has retained the CLX96\u2019s trademark \u201cTerrazza Portoghese\u201d \u2013 a secondary, elevated bow terrace that also functions as a seating and sunbathing area forward of the bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technical specifications are currently undisclosed.
