{"id":2380,"date":"2025-11-11T15:48:40","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T15:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clyachts.com\/?post_type=news&#038;p=2380"},"modified":"2025-11-12T15:49:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-12T15:49:12","slug":"shipyard-and-academia-join-forces-for-green-and-intelligent-shipbuilding","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/clyachts.com\/zh-hans\/news\/shipyard-and-academia-join-forces-for-green-and-intelligent-shipbuilding\/","title":{"rendered":"SHIPYARD AND ACADEMIA JOIN FORCES FOR GREEN AND INTELLIGENT SHIPBUILDING"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:25px\">The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has entered into an agreement with Cheoy Lee Shipyards aimed at accelerating research and innovation in artificial intelligence robotics, green materials and alternative-powered vessels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As announced, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Cheoy Lee Shipyards signed on 7 November a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aiming to drive breakthroughs in electric vessels, sustainable manufacturing technologies and renewable energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As explained, PolyU and Cheoy Lee Shipyards will collaborate on scientific research, testing environments and application scenarios, promoting comprehensive innovation and advancing sustainable maritime technologies and energy-efficient transportation. The MoU was signed by Prof. Christopher Chao, Senior Vice President (Research and Innovation) of PolyU, and Martin Lo, Director of Cheoy Lee Shipyards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, Prof. Christopher Chao remarked that this partnership with Cheoy Lee Shipyards exemplifies the synergistic advantages of academia and industry collaboration, paving the way for a new era of intelligent and sustainable vessels and reinforcing Hong Kong\u2019s leadership in green shipping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;This collaboration marks a new milestone in the long-term partnership between PolyU and Cheoy Lee Shipyards.
