CL YACHTS REVEAL MORE ON CLX96

CL Yachts is presently working on their first unit of the new CLX96 model.

The first hull should be complete in 2021 and premiere at the 2021 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). The SAV is what they call this model, which is an acronym for Sea Activity Vessel. Like most yacht designers in modern times, they aim to meld the interiors activity with the exterior activity. The design has been penned by Jozeph Forakis.

All ends of the CLX96 SAV appear to offer something a bit more special for the guests who will utilize her. The stern for example has a swim platform but it isn’t the typical molded-in structure. In fact, this swim platform can transform and extend thanks to a transformer-like platform similar to what Opacmare manufactures. Now guests can lounge or hit the water from another area of the yacht if they prefer and it is at their own comfort level too!

Traversing from the stern to the bow is easy thanks to walk-around decks. The main deck is walk-around as well as the upper deck but heading to the bow you will take the main deck route. The bow has a very comfortable social seating area. Usually on most yachts this area is square in shape and orientation but on the CLX96 it is circular which allows for more persons to join the party on this end of the yacht. The main seating area is built in to the superstructure and has a larger table to serve al-fresco diners. Forward of here there are two separate seating areas finished with smaller cocktail tables. This completes the circle and behind these two areas are two sunpadded regions as well.

On the supper deck there is plenty more space to take in the sun as well. Either aft or forward of the wheel house/skylounge, teak real estate awaits how you arrange your personal outdoor furniture pieces. The design of the yacht was done to enrich the soul and allow guests to have a more holistic experience onboard. “We wanted to offer those aboard the SAV a truly authentic experience, one that nourishes body and soul and celebrates well-being; the true luxury of modern life,” Martin Lo, director of CL Yachts said.

Inside the skylounge and forward is the navigation area of the space. Forward-sloping glass helps to control reflections while three large multifunction displays are on hand to provide information to the person in command. Visibility appears good from this level as it should be and with what appears to be electric windows aft of the helm area it provides a good sense of what it going on outside. The photo below offers a better view of the space.

Accommodation for guests is arranged on the lower deck with the standard being a four cabin layout. The master suite is full-beam and includes views on either side. The designer suggested he wanted to bring a little bit of loft living into the interiors of this yacht since he lived in a New York City loft. There is a VIP-grade cabin that is full-beam as well. The remainder of guest cabins are between the master and the VIP offering twin and double bed accommodations. Look out for this yacht premiering in 2021.
