Since the first plans were unveiled earlier this year, CL Yachts has shared more about the in-build 29.26-metre CLX96.
The first unit of the SAV (Sea Activity Vessel) range is due to be launched during Q1 of 2021 and is set to debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2021.
Claimed to be the holistic reinvention of the traditional motor yacht, the CLX96 comes from the drawing boards of international designer Jozeph Forakis. The design layout aims to blur the boundaries between the exterior and interiors.
“We wanted to offer those aboard the SAV a truly authentic experience, one that nourishes body and soul and celebrates wellbeing– the true luxury of modern life,” says Martin Lo, director of CL Yachts.
The exterior design includes a spacious area on the foredeck, Piazza del Sole, with sun pads that can be transformed into a variety of furniture styles, such as a coffee table or sunbeds. The Terrazza Portoghese skydeck was designed to allow guests to flow freely from adjacent areas and suit entertainment purposes. The loft-like saloon interiors of the new model offer 360-degree views throughout the yacht, including in the master stateroom and full-beam VIP staterooms.
“CLX96’s distinctive profile, which is instantly iconic, is born from observations of living habits at sea and reconsidering the preconceptions of space, comfort, and conviviality. I wanted the feeling of being on the ocean to follow you everywhere, inside and outside. I was born in a New York City loft, and I wanted to capture that sense of the limitless possibility of living in open spaces. I think it is analogous to the inspiration we feel from the expansive horizon of the sea and the endless quest of human potential,” says Jozeph Forakis.
