CL Yachts’ re-imagined CLB88 and brand new CLB65 hint at big things ahead.

Characterised by timeless elegance and sophisticated design, CL Yachts B Series is designed for family fun and adventure. CL Yachts is currently aiming its considerable focus at two exciting models in the B Series. This includes the re-imagined CLB88 and the brand-new CLB65, which should be fan favourites for years to come.

CLB88 has enjoyed a transformation under the expert guidance of world-renowned, Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis. The boat has already won a GOOD DESIGN Award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. What’s more, it was also a finalist for Boat International’s Design & Innovation Awards in 2021.

“The essence of CLB88 is trying to balance a sense of tradition and forward-thinking design, and I think you see that in full effect with the new interior option package.” Forakis says.

A deeper colour scheme characterises the first interior package. The palette, which features teak and walnut, gives the interior a real sense of gravitas and masculinity.

However, CL Yachts realise that some may prefer a lighter touch and Forakis envisioned a second palette made up of soft greys and fair oaks.

Such a palette plays well with the natural light welcomed on board through CLB88’s expansive windows. The overall effect is an inviting, bright and modern feeling, like the faint recall of a summer beach holiday.

“We wanted to have a totally different feel between the palettes,” says Forakis. “The darker colour scheme, we call ‘Milano,’ and the new lighter one we call ‘Positano.”

“When you step on board the same boat with different palettes, the change in feeling is palpable. We think our customers will really enjoy being able to have that choice.”

Forakis is also excited about other new developments on the yacht. Think integrated carpeting in the after section of the salon and an abundant use of Corian. Fenix, a new matte laminate that utilises high tech nanotechnology, will also feature.

CL Yachts is also working on another exciting project, the CLB65. She is currently set to debut at the 2022 Newport International Boat Show. The flybridge motor yacht, the smallest of the B Series, is specifically designed for owner operation. However, there are a few new design touches.

“CLB65 will stand out for a lot of reasons,” says CL Yachts’ Martin Lo.

“Our clients will enjoy the expansive windows, with up-down function on the port side and flip-up window at aft bulkhead by the galley. This is in line with our idea of bringing outside in and inside out.”

CLB65 also incorporates some truly modern touches, both in design and construction. The strategic use of cutting-edge materials complements sleek and low-profile exterior lines. For example, carbon fibre augments the strength of the resin-infused composite hull.

It will be powered by highly manoeuvrable and easy-to-use twin Volvo Penta IPS1050 pods, with an optional Docking Assist Program.

A zero-speed fin stabilisation system is also in place. The model has created such fanfare that a second hull is already under construction.

CL Yachts’ goal is to offer unparalleled experiences to the modern explorer. The luxury performance brand stands apart from its competitors thanks to its unique approach to design, which is driven by CL Yachts’ core value of innovation.

Fusing progressive design with engineering prowess and state-of-the-art technology, every element of CL Yachts’ vessels are meticulously geared to steer luxury into uncharted territories.

The CLB88 was part of the CL Yachts display at the 2022 Miami International Boat Show.
